The VBS Bin Aerators can be used to preventively fluidize bulk powdered matter and materials.
Thanks to its convex shape, air propagates efficiently to clean and unclog your silos, hoppers or pipes. This way, they are treated in their entirety. The quantity and position of bin aerators vary according the dimensions of your silo.
The fluidizing process can be used either preventively or actively. For an optimal flow of the stored products, numerous fluidizing techniques exist. For example, matter can be fluidized by injecting the proper air quantity at regular intervals.
Using a VBS Aerating Vibrator thus allows for products to be kept in motion, but also for unclogging purposes. Thanks to this “dual effect”, Aerating Vibrators can prevent the formation of bridges and break any already existing conglomerates. This way, during long term storage phases, a VBS fluidizer prevents compacting and, consequently, draining issues.
The VBS Bin Aerators are adapted to dry products with fine grain texture: cement, lime, pigments, flour. Your products thus remain properly aerated, and bridges and hourglass-shaped conglomerates are broken up.
For foodstuff installations, we recommend using bin aerators from the VBSI-MD range, that are equipped with a membrane adapted to foodstuff. For moist products (>3%) , we recommend using external pneumatic vibrators. Alternatively, you can use Knockers should your products have specific characteristics that require a direct action on the hopper.
